How do AMD and NVIDIA GPUs compare in terms of performance?

I like both AMD and Nvidia. However, Nvidia, without doubt, is the best one of the two. Especially, the 4090; which, I have. I have both the 4090 and the 4080. I wouldn't mind getting the 5080, and even the 5090, if I could afford it.
